Inauguration
I suppose this is the inaugural post for deptof.com. As it is the inaugural post, it might be wise to explain what exactly it is that I’m trying to do here. Well, my name is Philip Likens. I teach web design at the Art Institute of Dallas – I’ve been in the industry and working with Flash for over 10 years. Additionally, I create interactive art pieces using Actionscript and various input devices. It’s my aim to process through my thoughts on interactive art, web design, and programming as I push my own technological limits in an effort to communicate and express ideas. Ultimately, I am constantly trying to do at least one of two things – tie together two pieces of information and/or communicate some truth.
